President Donald Trump’s speech about the steps he’s taking to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus received low marks on social media. Many stated the speech was a “disaster.” On Wednesday, Trump announced a ban on non-citizens arriving from Europe, called the disease a “foreign virus” and praised himself for “early, intense action” against the infection despite a series of missteps by his administration, including a lack of testing. Trump also misspoke several times. He announced a ban on not just people from Europe, but goods, which was incorrect. He also said insurance companies would pay for coronavirus treatment, but an industry spokesperson told Politico the waived fees only apply to tests, not treatment. - Chloe Homan TODAY'S NUMBER: 60The novel coronavirus can infect anyone, but it's older adults — ages 60 and up — who are more likely to get seriously sick from it. Les Misérables School Edition has been abridged to a shorter run time while still beautifully maintaining the integrity of the show. It also includes updated orchestrations based on the Tony-nominated 2014 Broadway revival show. Les Misérables is an emotional packed musical masterpiece that has thrilled audiences all over the world. The entirely sung-through piece is ideal for a cast of exceptional singers and overflows with melodies that are already standards. Our protagonist Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. During the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter, Cosette. Les Misérables is truly a classic! TODAY'S QUOTEToday, start working on not touching your face — because one main way viruses spread is when you touch your own mouth, nose, or eyes.
