LUNCH TALKThe United States completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan late Monday, ending America's longest war and closing a chapter in military history. TODAY'S NUMBER: $2,024"Futures for robusta coffee, which is often used to make espresso, recently jumped as high as $2,024 per tonne, their highest level in four years. Analysts are pointing to adverse weather in Brazil as well as Covid-19 restrictions in Vietnam" (CNN). TODAY'S QUOTEIt’s not something we’ve ever seen in the U.S. Americans are stuck in a housing limbo because there's nothing to buy and nothing to rent due to being "priced out." Nowhere is this more apparent than in markets that were hit the hardest and are now rebounding quickly, such as New York City. AND FINALLY |
