Diner's Club There will be an organizational meeting during homeroom in the library on November 3 for all those who would like to participate in the Diner's Club. The Diner's Club will work in conjunction with the faculty and staff of the Derry Area School District to help make the Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner boxes possible, along with the high school food pantry located in the front lobby. If you are interested lease plan on attending this meeting. Questions can be directed to Miss Smeltzer. 2. Detention Reminders Detention Reminders will only be sent via email. It is YOUR responsibility to check your email. Failure to attend detention because you did not check your email is not an excuse if you miss your scheduled day and further consequences will apply. All detention reminders will be sent by the end of the day on MONDAYS. If for some reason you do not have access to your email, please contact the tech department. 3. Sports Meetings Those students planning on going out for swimming and diving should plan to attend the meeting scheduled during homeroom today in the audion. LUNCH TALK(WTAE) - Vaccine advisers to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration voted 17-0 with one abstention Tuesday to recommend emergency use authorization of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 5 to 11. Members of the FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee agreed the benefits of vaccinating younger children appeared to outweigh the risks, but some members appeared troubled about voting to vaccinate a large population of younger children based on studies of a few thousand. Morton left the game in the bottom of the third inning after throwing 44 pitches in Houston. The Braves were leading 5-0 when Morton struck out Astros leadoff hitter Jose Altuve with a curve. On his delivery, Morton almost went to the ground and came up with a limp; however, he threw 16 more pitches on his broken leg. Despite the setback, the Braves went on to win the game 6-2.
