1. Musical PreviewsThe Derry Area High School musical is next weekend! This year, our students are performing Les Miserables. On Wednesday, the cast will be performing previews for the entire school district. They will perform small pieces of the entire show for the middle and high school, and have a meet and greet with the elementary school students. Hopefully the previews will make everyone go see the show! 2. Latrobe Country Club JobsLatrobe Country club is offering jobs, located at 346 Arnold Palmer Drive in Latrobe. They are offering a part time job as a dishwasher and a job as a server and another as a runner. The part time job for the dishwasher would be Friday through Sunday. For those interested please contact Jason M Seiple, the executive chef, at 724-539-8585. 3. Oakbrook Food FundraiserThe Oakbrook food fundraiser is now available outside of Mrs. Bushey’s room. This is a prom fundraiser and you will receive $5 toward your account for each item you sell. All money and orders are due March 6. LUNCH TALKAs the Coronavirus spreads through northern Italy, some schools, including Syracuse University and New York University, announced they were closing their campuses in Florence immediately. Other schools are keeping their overseas campuses open for now but are offering students the option of leaving. Many schools, including Cornell University, have already suspended travel to China because of the coronavirus outbreak. China's National Health Commission said 77,658 cases of the COVID-19 virus had been confirmed as of Tuesday. TODAY'S QUOTEThe Most Magical Place on Earth... On Disney's Magic Kingdom ride in Orlando, the guest's boat flooded with water and sunk. The tour ride was supposed to be'humorous' and 'exotic'. Matthew Vince, who was a passenger on the boat, told CNN that everything was okay and everyone was rescued in about 20 minutes. The ride may have been known as 'The Most Magical Place on Earth' but on this tour there was no magic.
